Abandoned mineworkings are
a recognised problem in many areas of central Scotland where historically, extensive
mining operations have exploited the mineral resources present in the geological
strata.
CONSOLIDATE
specialises in the stabilisation of abandoned mineworkings to allow residential,
retail, commercial development and other construction works to take place over
the consolidated ground.
The consolidation process involves drilling a regular grid of small diameter boreholes
over the area of the proposed development and injecting through these boreholes
cement : pfa or cement : pfa : sand grouts that achieve a nominal strength of
1N/mm².
